BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

 

Eva J. Parsons is a senior vice president with Executive Coaching Network, Inc. (EXCN). A group facilitator with a distinguished background in people development, communications, education, and psychotherapy, Eva consults with senior executives and teams in the areas of leadership development, executive performance, communication and interpersonal skills, change management, and mentoring. She assists organizations to develop and implement guiding principles based on corporate values. Eva facilitates executive, management, and board retreats and team-building sessions.

Prior to joining EXCN Inc., Eva served as director of people development for AT&T Wireless Services. She was executive director of the Business Youth Exchange in the Pacific Northwest and served as human resource manager for one of the largest law firms in the Northwest, Stoel Rives, Attorneys at Law. Eva’s career includes ten years as a communications consultant, college instructor, and psychotherapist.

Eva has held numerous community leadership positions throughout her career. She served on the Portland, Oregon, Mayor’s Business Roundtable, where she chaired a Workforce Development Task Force. She was involved in multiple “think tank” projects for the City of Portland and the State of Oregon. Additional activities include chairperson, City Club Education Committee; vice-chairperson, Business Youth Exchange; member, Regional Strategies Board; Business Volunteers for the Arts, San Diego Performing Arts League; and consultant, Nonprofit Management Solutions in San Diego, California.

Eva holds an MA degree in education and counseling from Portland State University and a BA degree, cum laude, in German literature from the University of Maryland. She was born in Prague and raised in Munich, where she attended American schools. She is bilingual in English and German and speaks French and Czech. Eva has lived and worked in the United States for more than 30 years.
